Ahmad Batebi's arresting was preceded by a mysterious death of "Akbar Mohammadi" who was died in jail.

Akbar Mohammadi was on strike of hunger and tortured before his death in Evin prison in Tehran. Akbar Mohammadi was in 209 row (part 209) in Evin prison which is completely under control of secret police. The day before death of Akbar Mohammadi, MPs was visiting the prison but they were not allowed to see the part 209 which Akbar Mohammadi was tightened to his bed.
